The Offspring has released their single “Light It Up” from their forthcoming record SUPERCHARGED. Ahead of their co-headline Australian tour kicking off later this month on August 9, Aussie darlings Between You & Me and Teenage Joans have teamed up for the thunderous new collaborative single, “1800-PAINLESS.” Of the collaboration, Between You & Me writes on their X account, “There are a lot of music collaborations being released, but it feels extremely special to be able to write a song from scratch with another artist that shares the same values. Seattle-based punks Filth Is Eternal have released their new cover of Hole‘s “Violet,” a track that originally appeared on 1994’s Live Through This. This marks the first release since Filth Is Eternal‘s 2023 LP Find Out. Much like Hole vocalist Courtney Love, Lis D’Angelo flawlessly intertwines guttural growls and shimmering clean vocals across the iconic grunge track. The song originally appeared on Yellowcard‘s 2011 LP When You’re Through Thinking, Say Yes. On Friday, August 2, the official Waterparks Instagram account detailed that the band is canceling their album INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY 2: LOST IN THE PROPERTY. Miss May I is back with a new version of “Architect,” and this time, they reimagined their track with Currents vocalist Brian Wille. In mid-July, the band announced their signing to Solid State Records and announced their 15th anniversary re-recording of their 2009 full-length, Apologies Are For The Weak.
