Marriage was reportedly too “complicated” for rock couple Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley. The couple has reportedly split after three years of marriage. Sum 41’s management company Bunk Rock (headed by Greig Nori) have released a statement refuting reports of the pop-punk couple’s impending nuptials. “Deryck Whibley of Sum 41 is not engaged,” the statement reads. “Deryck and his friends are constantly followed by paparazzi. Deryck Whibley, frontman for Canadian power pop band Sum 41, was reportedly attacked last night in Japan, and sent to hospital with injuries.
It’s a bittersweet moment, but one we’ve known was coming. Sum 41 played their final show on March 30, but today, they offered fans one more parting gift. The pop-punk veterans dropped a “Radio Silence” music video. It contains moments of the band’s history and many adventures, flashing back to their days as scrappy, young newbies.
