Lance Bass could be going from ‘N Sync to in space. The boy band member is negotiating to travel on a Russian rocket for a mission in November, according to MirCorp, the Amsterdam-based space travel company. Bass said in a statement Wednesday that he was “completely overwhelmed.” “I’m looking forward to completing this lifelong dream,” he said. Ozzy Osbourne, on his first tour of Japan in four years, will tape his performance Friday at Tokyo’s legendary Budokan Hall for a live album and DVD. Live at Budokan, a title most music fans associate with Cheap Trick’s bombastic 1979 live effort, is scheduled for a summer release. Although it’s not yet known which performance songs will appear in the video, the live album will contain some B-sides from import singles, according to Osbourne’s publicist. Having completed its biggest tour in its home country of Canada, Nickelback now heads to Europe this week to spread the word about its second album, Silver Side Up. Nickelback’s former management company, Amar Management, filed a breach of contract suit against the band in the Supreme Court of British Columbia in Canada. The suit, filed on January 25, contends that Nickelback wrongfully terminated the contract and has failed to pay the management company commissions, disbursements, and various other fees as a result of services rendered. The band allegedly signed a contract with Amar Management in 1996 and worked with the company through two independent albums and its first Roadrunner Records release, The State. Paul McCartney is hitting the long and winding road again for the first time in nearly 10 years. The former Beatle announced in a statement Monday that he is to launch a North American tour in early April.
