Green Day played their Coachella Weekend 2 headlining set on April 19, and they had many surprises for the day. To intro their set, Punk Bunny, aka their coffee brand mascot, ran across the stage. Then, the pink head popped off to reveal Flavor Flav. The rapper and US women’s water polo team financial supporter (and super fan), of course, shared his iconic “Yeahhhhh boy!” to get the crowd hyped for Green Day. Did idobi Radio predict the Green Day film?! The short answer: yes and no. Last week, Tate Logan of idobi Radio posted a faux dream casting if Green Day were to ever sign off on a biopic film. In a playful casting suggestion, Logan envisioned Josh Hutcherson as Tré Cool, Jack Dylan Grazer as Billie Joe Armstrong, and Melrose Avenue drummer Jed McIntosh, who closely resembles bassist Mike Dirnt. On September 30, trio Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool launched limited-edition Punk Bunny Coffee holiday flavors as well as a hot cocoa mix.
