This week I have long time friend of the band Flogging Molly, Nathen Maxwell. I did one of my first tours ever sharing a bus with him, over 20 years ago! We talk about how Nathen got his start in music and all of the projects he finds himself involved in. He’s one of my favorite people and musicians and I’m glad he took the time to come on my show.
What a treat it was to chat with music producer Esjay Jones. She talks about her frustration with the music industry initially which led her to teach herself music production and Logic and then move into the producing side. She had her first major cut in the U.S. alongside co-writer Justin Tranter in 2013 with the single “I Choose U” by TimeFlies on Def Jam Records. Since then, she has worked with Grey Daze (Chester Bennington), Sean Kingston, Jeffree Star, Olivia Holt, Escape The Fate, Mystery Skulls with Nile Rodgers and Brandy, Alien Ant Farm, and many more.
This week I have guitar player and all around good friend Anthony Purpura, I didn’t know him until he started working for my band, and we liked him so much, he plays guitar for us live! It turns out we have a lot of the same friends and we briefly met at a 4th of July party 12 years ago, we talk about how he got from that moment until right now this week on my show.
