This week we chat to Jena Rose, a pop singer/songwriter from Plano, Texas. Jena tells us about learning piano at age 5, writing songs by age 9, and playing her first shows at the age of 12. Mike Herrera is the singer and songwriter for band MxPx, they’ve been one of my all time favorite punk bands since I was a teenager, I attended most of their shows in Salt Lake City in the late 90’s and throughout the early 2000’s and eventually toured with Mike and made a friendship with him, I’ve known him close to 20 years and we catch up and learn about Mike’s journey as a musician.
