Music fans eagerly anticipating the return of the pioneering Lollapalooza tour will have to wait at least another year. Canadian punkers Sum 41 will begin tracking the follow-up to their 2001 breakthrough, All Killer No Filler, in late April. They have been writing and demo-ing new material during the Tour of the Rising Sum, the band’s first headlining jaunt. Celine Dion’s first studio album since 1997’s multiplatinum Let’s Talk About Love will finally hit stores on March 26. A New Day Has Come, which will mark the end of the pop singer’s two-year hiatus, will feature 16 songs, including covers of Etta James’ “At Last” and Nat King Cole’s “Nature Boy,” according to Epic Records. Satellite radio broadcaster Sirius Satellite Radio said Monday it had begun offering its 60 commercial-free music channels on its Web site ahead of the launch of its subscription radio satellite service next month. New York-based Sirius also announced more details of its launch plan, with eight cities to be gradually added throughout the spring to the original four ahead of a nationwide launch sometime in July or August. Sirius Satellite Radio, the satellite radio broadcaster, today announced it priced a public offering of common stock resulting in gross proceeds of approximately $158 million. The transaction is being underwritten by Lehman Brothers. Sirius will sell 16 million shares of its common stock at a public offering price of $9.85 per share, and has granted the underwriter an over-allotment option to purchase an additional 2.4 million shares of common stock.
