Matt and Yee actually go back together to past warped tours, I believe 2011 to be specific. Though their paths have been very different the synergy in this convo is evident! Matt is a founding member of the iconic metalcore band August Burns Red, who has their 9th studio album coming out 4/3/20 entitled “Guardians”, please go and give the new single “Defender” a head bang. Though August Burns Red is the root of Matt, HE is a major root of the drum community. Matt has started his own drum company, has a custom “blast bell” via Zildjian and is one of the most sought after instructors these days.
