The tour, which will kick off June 28 at Chula Vista, California’s Coors Amphitheater, is currently slated to play 45 shows through an August 25 date in Los Angeles with a lineup that includes Coheed and Cambria, Bad Religion, New Found Glory, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Cute Is What We Aim For, Bayside and Canadian rapper K-os. Good Charlotte drummer Chris Wilson – who provided the back beat on the band’s latest album, The Chronicles of Life and Death – has left the group due to undisclosed “personal health problems.” The band made the announcement via a letter posted Tuesday on GoodCharlotte.com. “As many of you know, our drummer Chris Wilson has been on and off the road due to personal health problems,” the band wrote. “Unfortunately, his problems continue, and we have made a collective decision to have Chris stay around his friends and family and begin to truly rehabilitate. Fall Out Boy's Sound Has Changed, But The Weirdly Long Song Titles Remain

Following the release of Fall Out Boy’s 2003 full-length debut, Take This to Your Grave, the Chicago quartet was flooded with hyperbolic praise. The group, which was signed by tiny independent label Fueled by Ramen, was declared the “next big thing” by multiple media outlets, and its album sold more than 200,000 copies. So expectations were high for the band’s major-label follow-up, From Under the Cork Tree, which came out on May 3 and will debut at #9 on next week’s Billboard albums chart. Some pundits predicted a groundbreaking pop-punk expedition, and others awaited a heart-rending emo excursion, but Fall… Read more »

Foo Fighters, Used, Yellowcard On Rock Against Bush Vol. 2

A week after the compilation Rock Against Bush Vol. 1 was released, a sequel to the politically minded compilation is taking shape. The Foo Fighters will contribute their cover of “Gas Chamber,” a song originally recorded by L.A. punks the Angry Samoans, which appeared as a B-side to the Foos’ 1996 CD single “Big Me.” The original tune appeared on the Angry Samoans’ second album, 1982’s Back From Samoa. The inclusion of Bad Religion’s “Let Them Eat War,” from June 8’s The Empire Strikes First, is also confirmed for Rock Against Bush Vol. 2, which is expected to drop in… Read more »
