Today, Netflix released the official trailer for their adaptation of Uglies, the dystopian book trilogy written by Scott Westerfield. Joey King, who stars as the trilogy’s lead, Tally Youngblood, says she was “11 years old when [she] fell in love with that first book.” To play Tally is “a dream realized.” Many fans of Westerfield’s books feel the same, as they have waited for a film adaptation to emerge for as long as they can remember. It may only be August, but spooky season is in full swing with the release of the trailer for the upcoming HBO It prequel television series Welcome To Derry. The upcoming series was first announced in March of 2022. On the brink of the release of their upcoming album Five Dice, All Threes, Bright Eyes have dropped their latest single from the full-length “Rainbow Overpass” featuring Alex Orange Drink of The So So Glos. Known to go big, it makes sense for the band to also announce an extensive North American Tour. Per a report published via Exclaim, Sum 41 has unfortunately been forced to cancel several of their upcoming Canadian performances “due to a minor back injury that requires a few weeks of physician ordered recuperation,” according to The Jubliee venue in a statement on their website.
