Spears Says She, Timberlake Were Lovers

After years of saying she’d wait until she was married to lose her virginity, Britney Spears is acknowledging that she had sex with her ex-boyfriend, Justin Timberlake. “I’ve only slept with one person my whole life,” the pop star tells W magazine for its August issue. “It was two years into my relationship with Justin, and I thought he was the one,” she pauses, then adds, “But I was wrong! I didn’t think he was gonna go on Barbara Walters and sell me out.” Spears, 21, and Timberlake, the 22-year-old ‘N Sync singer, met as kids while performing on TV’s… Read more »

Blink-182, Outkast, Bone Crusher, Joe Budden Score Tracks On 'Madden 2004'

Quarterback sacks and goal-line stances aren’t the only kinds of hits you’ll find on “Madden 2004.” Blink-182, Outkast and Nappy Roots will contribute new songs to the football video game’s soundtrack, while Joe Budden, AFI and the Roots offer previously released tunes, according to an Electronic Arts spokesperson. In the case of Blink-182, “Madden 2004” will be the first place to hear “Action,” a song off the trio’s forthcoming Use Your Erection I and II, while the Roots remixed their “Rock You,” off last year’s Phrenology, exclusively for the soundtrack. Pink Won't Be 'Yapping About Her Problems' On New LP, Linda Perry Says

In a strange twist of fate, it took a few blondes (and a pink) for Linda Perry to discover her true calling. After producing Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani and Pink, the former 4 Non Blondes leader has chosen to forgo her singing career in favor of working behind the scenes. “I’m so loving what I do, and I’m so good at it,” Perry said at Tuesday’s ASCAP Pop Music Awards. “I’m a horrible producer when it comes to me, but for other artists, I don’t know what it is, but something happens and I’m just really good at it.” Perry… Read more »

Damone Find Love At The Carwash, Don't Think Sum 41 Are Funny

Mullets, Chevelles, BMX bikes, muscle cars, cheesy mustaches. The science of guitar solos by White Lion and Extreme’s Nuno Bettencourt. These are ’80s things bands like Blink-182 like to poke fun at. Damone’s Dave Pino, however, isn’t laughing with them. “That whole mullet thing, American Hi-Fi and Sum 41 can goof on that stuff – the Camaro-driving guy with the mustache. It’s funny and I get it, but it’s offensive to us,” said Pino, the musical mastermind behind Waltham, Massachusetts, rockers Damone. “In this town, we’re stuck in some ’80s suburb,” Pino explained of the working- class Boston ‘burb of… Read more »

Incubus filed suit against Sony Music on Thursday seeking to be released from their recording contract with Sony subsidiary Epic Records. The suit – filed in Los Angeles Superior Court in Santa Monica on behalf of singer Brandon Boyd, guitarist Mike Einziger, drummer Jose Pasillas and bassist Alex Katunich – asks a judge to allow them to set aside their original deal, which they claim they have satisfied. “This isn’t Courtney Love or some other artists where we’re walking away from a deal,” said the band’s manager, Steve Rennie, referring to a suit settled last year in which Love sought… Read more »

Good Charlotte And The Fans That Love Them: SuChin Pak Reports

I spent 24 hours on the road with Good Charlotte recently. Most of what I saw I already knew from TV reports on tour-bus life, probably from episodes of “Diary”: You can’t do much in the bathroom, it’s eight grown men living in the space of a large bedroom, running water is a luxury and the food sucks. That’s not, however, what I went to report on. Good Charlotte are a band with punk values – they look it, they grew up on the music and they believe in the punk ethos. At the same time, though, their video has… Read more »
