R. Kelly's nephew charged in barbershop shootout


R. Kelly’s 16-year-old nephew Brayel Kelly has been charged as an adult with attempted murder, according to authorities, after an incident in the Chicago area earlier this month in which the teen was shot. Case dropped in holdup of Kinks founder


Prosecutors have again dropped charges against a man accused of shooting Ray Davies during a holdup in the French Quarter, and for the same reason: Davies wasn’t in court. The lead singer and co-founder of The Kinks said prosecutors notified him only a few days earlier that trial was scheduled for Thursday. Apple Starts Selling MGM Films on ITunes


Apple Inc. added Metro-Goldwyn- Mayer Inc. movies for sale on the iTunes Web site, offering customers such classic titles as “The Great Train Robbery” and modern hits like “Rocky.” MGM, owner of the world’s largest film library, will sell about 100 of its movies on iTunes, Derick Mains, a spokesman for Cupertino, California-based Apple said today in an interview. Rock Singer Spends Fourth Night in Jail


London – Rock star Pete Doherty has spent a fourth night in jail after he was imprisoned following charges of robbery and blackmail. The ex-Libertines singer would have been released on 150,000 pounds bail last Friday but he failed to come up with the money in time and a court sent him to prison. Owner of "8 Mile" Studio Found Dead


The owner of a Detroit studio where Eminem purportedly cut his best-selling debut album, The Slim Shady LP, was found dead Tuesday, the victim of an apparent vendetta, according to local authorities. A business acquaintance discovered the body of Amjed A. Abdallah lying in a pool his own blood on the floor of Studio 8. Investigators said the 36-year-old Jordanian engineer was shot at least twice, most likely on Sunday, based on the bloated condition of the corpse. Owner Of Studio Where Eminem Recorded First LP Slain


The owner of a Detroit studio that advertises itself as the place where Eminem recorded his debut album, The Slim Shady LP, was found murdered inside the building on Tuesday. Though officials have not yet found a motive, Amjed “A.J.” Abdallah was shot twice in the entrance to the studio on famed Eight Mile Road in what appears to be a robbery gone wrong. Eminem’s mother wants to see a 16-year-old punished for carjacking and robbing her, but she’s also distressed to think he could spend the next decade or more in prison. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating a six-year-old theory that a Los Angeles Police officer orchestrated the 1997 shooting death of the Notorious B.I.G.
