Duran Duran to Play Sell-Out London Show


Duran Duran, the 1980s “New Romantic” band who championed eye-liner, shoulder pads and teased blond hair, will play a comeback show in London on Tuesday. McCartney Gets in Shoving Match in London


Paul McCartney was involved in a scuffle Friday when a photographer tried to take his picture near the site of illusionist David Blaine’s latest stunt. McCartney spokesman Geoff Baker said the former Beatle fired him when he learned that Baker had informed the photographer that McCartney would be visiting the site on the River Thames. Epicenter of London's Music Scene Up for Sale


One of London’s most famous music venues, which in its heyday in the 1960s played host to The Who, David Bowie and the Rolling Stones, is for sale, its administrators said Thursday. Madonna to Make London Theater Debut


Madonna will make her West End debut in May, starring in an Australian comedy called “Up For Grabs.” She’ll lead a cast of seven in the British premiere of David Williamson’s play, a satire on the art world that first was staged in Sydney in February 2001. Previews start May 9 at Wyndham’s Theater, with May 23 the “Up For Grabs” opening night. Tibetan Freedom Concert In London Postponed


Logistical issues and scheduling complications have postponed the London debut of the Tibetan Freedom Concert.
