Limp Bizkit At Center Of Investigation Into Australian Fan's Death


An Australian court is investigating the role that Limp Bizkit’s onstage actions may have played in the death of a 15-year-old fan who was crushed at the multi-band Big Day Out festival in January. An inquest by Sydney’s Glebe Coroner’s Court that began November 19 is attempting to determine the factors that contributed to Jessica Michalik’s death, and is examining statements made by Fred Durst when it became apparent that Michalik was in distress, according to Deputy Coroner Matt Fordham. Australian music duo Savage Garden call it quits


Australian pop music duo Savage Garden, with global sales of 20 million records in four years, have split. Band member Darren Hayes will embark on a solo career and Daniel Jones, preferring life outside the public eye, has returned home to Brisbane, where the two first met through an advertisement in a local music magazine. “We achieved something so great in a short period of time that we had to look for something else,” Jones said on Friday. “We’ve both had a lot of success together. Eminem OK For Australia Visit


Eminem (real name: Marshall Mathers III) has received a visa from the Australian government to perform at a pair of concerts in the country next week. But along with the approval came a warning to respect the country’s values and its multicultural society. As previously reported, lawmakers and community groups opposed allowing the Grammy-winning rapper into the country with his group D12, saying his songs contain foul, violent, and racist lyrics demeaning to women and gays. Australian Rockers INXS Struggle Without Singer


For the first time in almost four years, one of Australia’s most successful rock bands, INXS, is playing a few shows in North America. But the crowd at their recent Los Angeles stop consisted of about 70 Rhino Records employees and a few reporters, just two of the band’s six members were on stage, and the bespectacled singer looked nothing like Michael Hutchence, the group’s charismatic vocalist. 35,000 Fans Turn Out For Bon Jovi's Australian Charity Concert


Bon Jovi returned to Australia on Saturday Night playing a one off charity show to raise money for the State Emergency Services. 35,000 tickets were sold on the night guaranteeing SES will receive around $300,000 from the gig.
