The All-American Rejects got into the Halloween spirit this weekend at Jake Webber‘s Los Angeles house party as they played a surprise set. And many other cool guests were in attendance, including Johnnie Guilbert and Tara Yummy. Of course, the act traded out their typical rockstar get-up for some band-themed baseball player costumes. During their time at When We Were Young Fest 2024, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus dedicated “Your Guardian Angel” to a special couple in the crowd. According to a post from user Maikeru San on Facebook/Meta, they and their partner lost their son in 2023, and the song means something deeply special to them. The post reads, “Last year we missed this festival because we lost our firstborn child Elliott. On October 19 and 20, Cobra Starship took to the When We Were Young Festival‘s Purple Stage to play myriad tracks from ¡Viva la Cobra! as well as fan-favorite singles. On the second day of the festival, October 20, the band had an array of fun cameos throughout their 10-song set. New Found Glory took to the Ghost Stage at 7:25 PM at Las Vegas’ When We Were Young Fest to play through their 2002 record Sticks And Stones. 3OH!3 took to the When We Were Young Festival Ghost Stage at 2 PM local time to deliver a full playthrough of their 2008 mega-hit album WANT, which was released via Photo Finish Records. The setlist included scene faves such as “DONTTRUSTME,” “CHOKECHAIN,” and “STARSTRUKK.” On WANT Deluxe, duo Sean Foreman and Nathaniel Motte tapped Katy Perry to sing on “STARSTRUKK” and even made a music video.
