Punk rock group New Found Glory has called time on its major-label career and signed a new deal with Epitaph Records. Its debut for the indie label, produced by former Blink-182 member Mark Hoppus, is due next spring. The Florida-reared group signed to Drive-Thru in 2000, but found its biggest success after parent label MCA took over with 2002’s “Sticks & Stones,” which has sold more than 863,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. At most Warped Tour shows, the biggest hazard to your health is usually a stray Dr. Martens or an errant chain wallet. But at the tour’s August 4 stop at the Nissan Pavilion in Bristow, Virginia, some fans discovered that the dangers can come from above. As New Found Glory were playing their set, the skies over the Pavilion parking lot suddenly darkened and the wind began to pick up. New Found Glory guitarist Chad Gilbert says that when he went in to record the new album with the band he brought some extra equipment – a trainer. Gilbert said in an interview with AP Radio that recording albums is an easy way to gain weight.
