My Chemical Romance is a band that I’ve seen forever… literally since they were opening for Midtown or playing shows with Senses Fail and Reggie back in the day… I’ve been able to see them go from playing at the Troc in Philly, to headlining Madison Square Garden. The Black Parade times may be over, but the music continues on… most notably, with Frank Iero.
Tonight on The Gunz Show; Senses Fail, Second To Last, and Matthew Stewart (Founder of the Scream It Like You Mean It Tour). Tune in at 9pm ET at idobi.com
My Chemical Romance delivered a monumental performance at this year’s When We Were Young Fest in Las Vegas, playing their magnum opus record, The Black Parade, in full for the first time since 2007. The band brought their iconic third album back to life. Their performance was complete with all the fan-favorite tracks such as “Famous Last Words,” “Teenagers,” and “Welcome To The Black Parade.” Additionally, their setlist included deep cuts from the album that rarely see the stage. From the opening piano notes of “The End.” (performed for the first time since 2007) to the resounding G-note that rang… Read more »
Following their headlining sets at Riot Fest and All Your Friends Fest, Fall Out Boy took over the stage of When We Were Young Fest 2024. The Chicago rockers took over the Pink Stage at 9:05 PM ahead of My Chemical Romance’s performance on the Purple Stage. Unlike many other groups listed for the fest, Fall Out Boy did not pick out one album to play in full, instead packing their performance with fan favorites. Fall Out Boy surprised fans by teaming up with Pittsburgher Wiz Khalifa for a special performance of “See You Again,” which originally featured Charlie Puth.… Read more »
Less than a week ago, Boys Like Girls took to social media to report that they would be hopping on the When We Were Young Festival 2024 roster. The band will be filling in for The All-American Rejects who dropped off the fest earlier in the month due to a “management change within the WWWY operation.” Fittingly, they walked on stage to AAR’s “Dirty Little Secret.” Opening with “Love Drunk,” they are playing their iconic hits such as “The Great Escape” and “Heels Over Head.” In an Instagram statement, Boys Like Girls shared, “It’s our greatest honor to play any… Read more »

Pierce The Veil has returned to the When We Were Young Fest stage for the third year in a row. And truthfully, we will never ever get sick of them up there! Last year, frontman Vic Fuentes lent his vocals to a stage collaboration with Yellowcard before giving a guitar away on stage to a fan during his band’s set. This year, the San Diego-based group performed their beloved third album, Collide With The Sky, in full. Their set included fan favorites such as “Hold On Till May” and their Kellin Quinn collaboration, “King For A Day,” recreating the magic… Read more »
