Coachella reveals 2014 lineup


Coachella have revealed their 2014 lineup, and with it sees the highly speculated reunion of OutKast! The other two headliners are Muse and Arcade Fire. The festival takes place at Indio, California, over two weekends; April 11 – 13 and April 18 – 20. Notable: idobi favorites Bastille and The 1975 will be playing the festival, and Title Fight will be playing April 11th and 18th. Check out the full lineup below.

Prince to headline Coachella festival


Prince will headline the ninth annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, festival promoters announced Wednesday. The Purple One will be the featured act on day two of the giant summer music festival, a three-day affair that runs April 25-27 in Indio, Calif. He joins a lineup that includes Jack Johnson and Roger Waters, the former Pink Floyd singer-songwriter who will close the festival. Also slated to perform: the Raconteurs, Kraftwerk, Portishead, My Morning Jacket, M.I.A., Death Cab for Cutie and the Verve, among others.

Coachella Goes Back in Time


Coachella’s indie roots will be watered down with classic rock this year. Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters has been tapped for the festival’s closing slot, performing the band’s 1973 opus, Dark Side of the Moon, in its entirety, organizers announced. The full lineup for the 2008 edition of the music festival was revealed Monday at a news conference in Mexico, with mellow rocker Jack Johnson and trip-hop trio Portishead set to hold down the other two headlining slots. Reunited Rage Against The Machine Closes Coachella


Rage Against The Machine played its first show in seven years last night (April 29) to close the 2007 edition of the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, Calif. The foursome tore into staples like “Testify,” “Bulls on Parade,” “People of the Sun” and “Guerrilla Radio” to one of the largest main stage crowds in the event’s history. Rage Against The Machine Reuniting To Headline Coachella


In addition to its always eclectic, star-studded lineup, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has established a reputation for frequently landing the hotly sought return of a major indie-rock figurehead. According to a report in the Los Angeles Times , this year’s major coup is a reunion of thrashing political rockers Rage Against the Machine, who have not played together for seven years. Strokes, Perry Farrell, Cake, More Join Coachella Lineup


Cake, Pete Yorn, the Strokes, Perry Farrell and a Siouxsie and the Banshees reunion are among the additions to the third Coachella Music and Arts Festival.
