Since its inception in 2012, Today’s Mixtape Festival has been one of our favorite fests to look forward to each year. For this week’s Tuesday Ten, here are the ten bands playing this year who we think you can’t afford to miss.

Eddie Jason & Chris are back with another all new live show tonight at 9p ET, after  The Mike Herrera Hour, and Monday at 8pm ET following  Full Frontal. EJC’s  musical guest is Chicago based indie rockers, The Kickback. They’re on tour now, and prepping the release of a new album this summer. EJC plan to ask about their live act, which has gained quite the reputation, what their current situation is like on the road, and more. Tuesday Ten: Bands We Wish Would Reunite


2013 was the year of the reunion, with everyone from Fall Out Boy to Knapsack teaming back up with their old bandmates, whether it was for a one-off anniversary tour or a full-blown comeback. Still, even with all of those reunions, there are still a handful of bands left who we wish would bless us with one last tour or some new music. Here are the top ten bands we wish we could see a reunion from – no matter how impossible our dreams may be.

Razor and Tie launch new label imprint, sign The Hold Steady


Razor and Tie have launched a new label imprint, Washington Square. The first release due out on the label will be a new album from The Hold Steady.  The album titled  Teeth Dreams was produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Alice in Chains) and is due out March 25th.  The Hold Steady will also kick off a string of tour dates in January 2014 that will include two 10th  Anniversary shows, dates for which can be seen below. We spoke with trombonist Cody Ackors and drummer Jef Weathers at the end of the week to talk about their CMJ experience, their plans for the next record, and their very brief career as the next big dubstep act.

Best Coast Stream “This Lonely Morning”


Best Coast are streaming another song, “This Lonely Morning,” off their upcoming EP Fade Away, due to be released October 22nd. Bethany Constantino, one half of the L.A. indie rock duo, told Rolling Stone, “I wrote that song in literally five minutes, sitting in bed one morning, bored.” Fade Away will be their first release since their breakthrough record,  Crazy For You,  came out three years ago.
