Ozzy Osbourne was treated at a Denver hospital for “a minor outpatient procedure” over the weekend before flying to the next stop on his latest tour, his management company said on Sunday. His ailment was not disclosed, but NBC affiliate KUSA-TV reported on its Web site that Osbourne underwent surgery for a blood clot on Saturday night following a show. He had complained of leg pain for most of the day, KUSA said. A spokesman for the 58-year-old musician did not immediately reply to an email seeking more information. A statement from Osbourne’s management read: “Ozzy Osbourne had a minor… Read more »

Fall Out Boy’s headlining stint on this year’s Honda Civic Tour had a rough beginning last month. In fact, the trek didn’t start at all. In April, two weeks before they were slated to hit the road, FOB announced that the 43-city North American run would be delayed a month due to “health concerns.” Now the tour is finally under way – it began Friday in Denver . But at the kickoff, it was another artist on the bill who was drawing a lot of the attention: Paul Wall. The People’s Champ is the only hip-hop artist on a bill… Read more »

Idol Eliminates Four More

Randy said her song was “way too big for her.” Paula said something incomprehensible. Simon said she was “worse than last week.” But luckily for Antonella Barba, America disagreed. After a difficult week in which racy pictures of her were leaked on to the Internet, and her performance of Céline Dion’s “Because You Loved Me” was poorly received by the judges, Barba still managed to land a spot among the top 16 contestants on American Idol. The New Jersey native, who has been praised more for her looks than her vocals this season, may well owe a large portion of… Read more »

How Long Will The Police Reunion Last?

With Sting’s simple “Ladies and gentlemen, we are the Police,” one of the most iconic bands of the last 30 years ended a long absence from live performing to launch the 49th annual Grammy Awards on Sunday night. Blasting off with the unmistakable, reggae-fied “Roxanne” riff from guitarist Andy Summers and the hard jazz drumming of Stewart Copeland, the Police lived up to their top billing on the show, providing a spirited kickoff to one of the most anticipated reunions in a year full of get-backs. With a buff-if-balding Sting in fine form and voice, the trio’s homage to a… Read more »
