Dido may be out of the spotlight while working on her next album, but she will still be heard literally by millions thanks to a contribution to the new Britney Spears album, Britney, due in stores Tuesday (November 6). The London singer-songwriter co-penned the song, “I’m Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman,” with behind-the-scenes teen-pop kings Max Martin and Rami. Jive Records recording artists Aaron Carter, and his older brother, Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, were among a number of recording artists that recently helped Michael Jackson record the single “What More Can I Give” to benefit the orphans and survivors of the September 11 attacks on America. Michael Jackson’s star-studded concerts in New York last month will make it to the small screen on November 13. Although such newer royalty as Britney Spears and Destiny’s Child performed at the King of Pop’s two tribute shows, Jackson’s solo set – his first in the U.S. in more than a decade – will be the focus of “Michael Jackson: 30th Anniversary Special,” according to a spokesperson for CBS television. Super producer and starmaker Jermaine Dupri will donate $10,000 to launch Hip-Hop for Humanity – a relief effort which is unifying the hip-hop community to provide financial support for the victim’s of the September 11th tragedies.
