A band that I’ve seen for years – since their early tours with Midtown, to their tour with Coheed and also Thursday… have announced that they are taking a break. Here’s me trying to dig the truth out about why they are!
Post hardcore legends Thrice, who announced their indefinite hiatus this past November, will be heading out across North America this spring to say goodbye one last time.
Dustin Kensrue hasn’t been getting much sleep lately. The release of his debut solo album, Please Come Home, is right around the corner, and his month-old daughter has been doing her best to keep him up too. THRICE and THURSDAY will perform at grand openings for Apple retail stores in Santa Monica, California, and New York City, respectively, on October 15th. The music performed will be made available for exclusive purchase at the iTunes Music Store and the sets will also be videotaped and placed for download at apple.com. The backstage area of this year’s Vans Warped Tour often resembled a punk-rock frat party, according to Thrice frontman Dustin Kensrue. There was plenty of partying and more than a few juvenile practical jokes perpetrated by the bands and their crews. Such situations can be flat-out dangerous, and sometimes injuries ensue. As Hopeless Records continues to celebrate their 30th Anniversary this year, NOAHFINNCE has covered Waterparks‘ “I Miss Having Sex But at Least I Don’t Wanna Die Anymore.” The track originally appeared on the Awsten Knight-led band’s full-length FANDOM, which was released via Hopeless Records in 2019 and is currently the band’s most streamed single to date.
