The Offspring hitting road after four-year break


The Offspring returns to the road after a four-year North American hiatus with a new tour, the California punk veterans said. The trek kicks off on May 15 in Nashville and will wrap July 18 in Pomano Beach, Fla. The Offspring released their eighth studio album, “Rise And Fall, Rage And Grace,” last June. It debuted and peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard 200.

Splinter, the eagerly-awaited new album from The Offspring, will be released by Columbia Records on Tuesday, December 9. The Offspring May Call It Quits


After thrashing stages for 15 years and selling more than 25 million pop/punk albums, The Offspring are thinking about calling it quits – eventually. “If the next album is something we’re not happy with and things have gotten tired and old, maybe that’ll be it,” bassist Greg Kriesel told the Bakersfield Californian. “I give it five more years.” The Orange County-based band’s sixth full-length album, “Conspiracy of One,” was released last November, but has only sold about 1 million copies.
