Goo Goo Dolls Had to Be Bad First


Before the Goo Goo Dolls ever could be a good band, they had to be a bad band, said singer John Rzeznik. Rzeznik says when members formed the band, none of them played very well. Rzeznik never took lessons and he said he was improvising as he went along. He called it an “evolutionary process.” But despite musical hits, Rzeznik said, “some people still think we’re a bad band.”

Five For Fighting to Tour With Goo Goo Dolls

Starting next month, the Goo Goo Dolls will take their gig out of the gutter. Ashanti LP Holds #1 As Goo Goo Dolls, Neil Young Debut


For the second week in a row, Ashanti, the new princess of R&B, will lord over the Billboard 200 albums chart. Her self-titled debut sold nearly 250,000 copies, according to SoundScan figures released Wednesday (April 17), enough to keep Celine Dion’s A New Day Has Come at #2 on sales of more than 225,000 copies. Goo Goo Dolls have begun confirming dates for a North American tour in support of their latest Warner Bros. album, “Gutterflower,” released this week. Goo Goo Dolls' Rzeznik Writes Solo For Forthcoming Movie


The new Goo Goo Dolls album Gutterflower is due in stores April 9, but that’s not the only project the band’s singer-guitarist Johnny Rzeznik has been involved in.
