Beyonce to be among performers at BET Awards


Beyonce will perform at the Black Entertainment TV Awards. Show organizers say the pop star will attend the ceremony, as will her husband, Jay-Z. The two join a performance lineup that includes Kanye West, Maxwell, Young Jeezy, Ne-Yo and Soulja Boy. Beyonce is nominated for a leading five BET Awards including favorite R&B female and video of the year. Rapper T.I. also has five nods, followed by Lil Wayne, T-Pain and Keri Hilson, who are tied with four nominations each. Jamie Foxx will host the show, to be broadcast live June 28th from the Shrine Auditorium.

Joe Jonas boogies to Beyonce to promote new album


Watch out, Beyonce. Joe Jonas is stealing your dance moves. In the latest “Single Ladies” spoof, the middle Jonas brother tries to crib the diva’s dance style in a new online video. Wearing a black catsuit and matching high heels, Jonas meagerly attempts a few moves while half lip-synching to the hit song. His brothers and band mates, Nick and Kevin, are shown at the beginning of the video prodding him to perform, saying, “You have to do it.” The Jonas Brothers’ fourth album, Lines, Vines and Trying Times, is set for release June 16th.

NEW YORK —-  Beyonce has scored her third straight No. 1 debut on the pop album chart with the double-disc “I Am … Sasha Fierce.” The Music World/Columbia album shifted a whopping 482,000 copies in the United States during the week ended November 23, according to Nielsen SoundScan . Jay-Z and Beyonce Tie The Knot


It appears that Jay-Z and Beyonce have finally tied the knot. There was a swirl of activity Friday at the rap mogul’s Tribeca apartment. Delivery trucks funneled in and out of the building, dropping off silver candelabras and white flowers. Justin Timberlake and Beyonce lead the pop parade of nominees for the MTV Video Music Awards with seven nods apiece, it was announced Tuesday. Beyonce visits 2 hurt by fireworks


Two people injured when pyrotechnics went awry at Beyonce Knowles’ concert in St. Louis received a surprise emergency room visit from the singer. The accident happened Sunday night, just as the R&B star’s concert began. A spokeswoman for Scottrade Center didn’t return phone calls seeking comment, but broadcast reports said pyrotechnics meant for the stage accidentally spilled into the front row.
