Limp Bizkit On Anti-War Celebrities Boycott List

A columnist at the New York Post has run an article called “Don’t Aid These Saddam Lovers” in an attempt to start a boycott against celebrities who have made their anti-war feelings known. Richard Johnson-who usually writes gossip for the tabloid-style newspaper-has apparently branched out into political commentary, and urges his readers to stop supporting movies, television shows, concerts, and albums by artists Johnson deems unpatriotic. Among the targeted stars are Fred Durst and his band, Limp Bizkit-whose fans, Johnson implies, are too stupid to even “know what Iraq is”-as well as Samuel L. Jackson (called a “drone” in the… Read more »

Limp Bizkit Changes Name to 'limpbizkit'

It looks like capitalization and spacing is no good any more for Fred Durst. He posted a message on Limp Bizkit’s Web site saying the band will now be known as limpbizkit with no capitals and no space between words. He gives no reason for the change. He seems to like playing around with words lately, given the changes he makes to the new album’s title. This week he said it would not be called “Bipolar” but instead “Fetus More.” He’s changed his mind again and now he’s calling it “The Search for Teddy Swoes.” Durst promises “it will all… Read more »

Love him or hate him, Eminem is back to being his old, abrasive self on his new single, “Without Me.” On the first release from The Eminem Show, due June 4 (see “The Doc’s Diagnosis: Eminem Still Crazy”), Eminem, who produced the song himself, displays his continued mastery of rapping with various flows while riding a track that sounds like a mix between g-funk and disco. The MC complains about the FCC and proclaims that the world needs a little controversy, and he adds that MTV would feel hollow without his presence.
