Former Ratt guitarist Robbin Crosby died at his Los Angeles home on Thursday morning following a long battle with AIDS. He was 42. The cause of death has not yet been determined, according to Craig Harvey, operations chief for the Los Angeles coroner’s office. John Ondrasik and his band Five For Fighting will be touring with the Goo Goo Dolls beginning June 7 in Atlantic City. Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, the effervescent, sometimes volatile rapping member of the Grammy-winning trio TLC, was killed in a car crash in Honduras, her record company said early Friday. Lopes, who would have turned 31 next month, was in the Central American nation for a vacation, Arista Records’ senior vice president of publicity Laura Swanson told The Associated Press. Shakira and the Dixie Chicks are the latest artists scheduled to perform at this year’s “VH1 Divas Las Vegas.” The singers have been added to a bill that includes previously announced artists Mary J. Blige, Cher and Celine Dion. Additional performers, presenters and special guests will be revealed as they are confirmed. The history of Rock has a new chapter. Pimp of the nation Kid Rock proposed to his girlfriend, Pamela Anderson, in the Las Vegas desert on Thursday night. Anderson flew out for Kid Rock’s performance on April 6 at Vegas’ Hard Rock Hotel, and the couple remained in the city for the week. Goo Goo Dolls have begun confirming dates for a North American tour in support of their latest Warner Bros. album, “Gutterflower,” released this week. The first six dates begin May 23 in Houston and will be preceded by a May 3 show at the Astoria in London. A mohawked Eddie Vedder put the regal Waldorf-Astoria hotel in a punk rock state of mind Monday night when he inducted the Ramones into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
