My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way has spoken directly to fans about the problem of anti-emo related violence in Mexico. Tensions have escalated in the country over recent months with a series of reported attacks against people who have “an emo look”. Is Ashlee Simpson pregnant? And, if so, is that the reason she and Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz announced their engagement last week? Well, according to a pair of well-known gossip publications, the answer to both questions is a resounding “yes.” Of course, Wentz begs to differ. Prince to headline Coachella festival


Prince will headline the ninth annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, festival promoters announced Wednesday. The Purple One will be the featured act on day two of the giant summer music festival, a three-day affair that runs April 25-27 in Indio, Calif. He joins a lineup that includes Jack Johnson and Roger Waters, the former Pink Floyd singer-songwriter who will close the festival. Also slated to perform: the Raconteurs, Kraftwerk, Portishead, My Morning Jacket, M.I.A., Death Cab for Cutie and the Verve, among others.

Warped Tour sells VIP seats for charity


The Vans Warped Tour is auctioning VIP tickets – complete with onstage seats – to benefit leukemia, cancer and AIDS research. The 14th annual music and extreme sports festival will partner with the T.J. Martell Foundation to auction off a pair of tickets to each concert on the 46-city tour, it was announced Tuesday. The highest bidders score stage-access passes to see their favorite bands up close. Linkin Park snags Cornell, Bravery for tour


Linkin Park, Chris Cornell and the Bravery will perform on the main stage of the fifth annual Projekt Revolution tour, set to begin July 16 at the Tweeter Center outside Boston. The Linkin Park-reared trek is scheduled to visit 24 U.S. cities, running through August 24 at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Houston. Ashes Divide (featuring A Perfect Circle’s Billy Howerdel) will also perform on the main stage.
