A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed against ‘N Sync by a firm that made giant look-alike puppets of band members for their 2000 American Music Awards performance. Sid and Marty Krofft Pictures Inc. filed the U.S. District Court copyright suit in November 2000 seeking damages and a portion of the profits from sales of a souvenir program and backstage “pass” using the puppet likenesses. Five days after being electrocuted onstage in Bangkok, Thailand and rushed to a hospital, Calling guitarist Aaron Kamin returned to his spot aside his fellow band members for a gig in Melbourne, Australia on Tuesday (April 9). Kamin is in “great spirits and doing fine,” a band spokesperson said. Eminem has settled the civil lawsuit brought against him by the man he allegedly assaulted for kissing his then-wife Kimberly Mathers. The rapper will pay John Guerra $100,000 minus attorney fees, an amount determined by a panel of three impartial attorneys who heard evidence from both sides in what is known as a case evaluation.
