After cryptically teasing the recorded version of their unreleased single “Better Days,” Yellowcard has basically confirmed that a new record is coming.
On January 13, Yellowcard took to Instagram to share their album recording checklist. While no song titles were revealed, X marks seem to indicate that most, if not all, of the rhythm guitar, bass, and strings have been tracked.
The photo caption reads, “Stay tuned.” And fans in the comments are absolutely ready for whenever more info drops. “13 songs we are so back,” one Instagram user commented. “Yellowcard full length album before GTA 6,” another said.
This yet-to-be-revealed LP will mark the first studio album release since 2016’s self-titled record.
Recently, in the fall of 2024, Yellowcard had the chance to appear on Disney’s A Whole New Sound pop-punk compilation album with Against The Current‘s Chrissy Costanza on a cover of Aladdin‘s “A Whole New World.”
“There is nothing in my life that keeps me in tune with my inner kid more than my love of Disney. So, it is my pleasure to tell that kid that he and his best buds are in a band that has a song on an official Disney release,” Ryan Key shares. “From the moment this opportunity came up we had ‘A Whole New World’ in mind with the idea to feature our friend Chrissy Costanza. Her voice is so amazing and she definitely did Jasmine proud!”
