Wet Seal is teaming up with Epic Records for an in-store appearance by punk upstart Good Charlotte.
Good Charlotte will be making a personal appearance at the Wet Seal store at South Park Center in Strongsville, Ohio on Thursday, August 9th at 1 p.m. The band will be signing autographs and CDs, as well as drawing names for prizes, including full-length CDs, posters and signed promotional photos. The in-store event will be supported through advertising on local radio stations.
Earlier that day (on August 9th), a lucky winner from a Wet Seal-Epic Records promotion will have toured the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Good Charlotte, after seeing them in concert in Cleveland, Ohio on August 8th.
The enter-to-win contest, which took entries through July 29th, is a partnership with Wet Seal and Epic Records by which a Grand Prize winner is flown to Cleveland, OH to see Good Charlotte perform live at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on August 8, 2001, meet the band and get a private a tour of the museum on Saturday morning, August 9th. The concert will be broadcast on MTV’s new series “Live From the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.”
100 Second-Prize winners will receive copies of Good Charlotte’s debut album and a Wet Seal foil logo T-shirt. The contest was supported through in-store displays as well as entry cards in the August issues of YM and Seventeen magazines.
