Waterparks offered exciting sets at this past weekend’s Reading and Leeds in the UK, and they even debuted their new song, “If Lyrics Were Confidential.” And lead singer Awsten Knight kicked off the new track, preceded by their BMG debut “Red Guitar,” with punchy and blunt lyrics.
“I hate 50% of our fans/And the other half understands/And to the ones who don’t/Go cry and choke on both of my middle finger ringed up hands,” he sings.
Knight even shares a verse about his mom saying, “Don’t forget my mom wakes up and reads half the crazy bullshit on her feed/She’s calling up like ‘Whatcha done?’/’Cause some lying fuck said that I knocked ’em up/Gross, like I’d ever fuck you (Fuck you)/In case you didn’t hear that, take two (Fuck you).”
