Very Twisty Black Mirror Season Lands June 5th

ck Mirror returns on June 5th with three all-new stories from creative mastermind Charlie Brooker and executive producer Annabel Jones. Our friends at Netflix have released titles, descriptions, and trailers for the shiny new season. For those new to Black Mirror, the show is less an episodic series following a cohesive set of intertwining linear narratives and more stand-alone singular storytelling with a recognizable backdrop of theme along the lines of The Twilight Zone. Topher Grace, Damson Idris, and Andrew Scott are cast in “Smithereens” where a cab driver with an agenda becomes the center of attention on a day that rapidly spirals out of control. Will art imitate life in “Rachel, Jack, and Ashley, Too” with Miley Cyrus cast as a pop-star whose charmed life isn’t all that it appears? Black Mirror tends to hold up a dark reflection on our modern lives so, for Miley’s sake, let’s hope not. Before watching an episode of Black Mirror the title can throw you “Striking Vipers” is no different – When Two estranged college friends reunite in later life it triggers a series of events that could alter their lives forever. What happens? Being that Black Mirror will always keep us guessing there’s no real way to buffer the anticipation for the new season. Doing a series rewatch won’t prepare you for Black Mirror level twists. That’s how we like it.
