After teasing their new album via drone show, The Maine have confirmed their new album, Joy Next Door, is arriving on April 10. To kick off their new green-tinged era, the Arizona-based emo group just dropped lead single, “Die To Fall.”
Tapping into their indie rock sensibilities, the quintet comes back from a two-year break fresh and ready to delight new listeners as well as those who have been part of the fan club since 2007. It’s a true thrill that the band has effortlessly grown up alongside their fans, maturing in their sonics and themes, never sacrificing authenticity. We can’t wait to see what else The Maine has in store as this era unfolds.
“‘Die To Fall’ is a dialogue with myself about the desire to let go,” frontman John O’Callaghan shares. “Let go of my insecurities, my ego, my worries, let go of ‘me’ for even just a second and truly feel the gravity of all the little moments we can often take for granted. If none of the above resonates, then at the very least, it’s a song to rage to.”
