Mark Millar & Netflix have announced new additions to their latest team-up: The Magic Order will be executive produced by James Wan (Aquaman; Furious 7) and Lindsey Beer (Chaos Walking; Sierra Burgess is a Loser). Beer will also serve as writer and showrunner, and Wan is set to direct the debut episode—yup, this show’s creative team is #stacked.
Based on Millar’s original story, The Magic Order will follow five magical families who are sworn to protect the world. By day they appear as regular everyday people, by night they become the sorcerers that defend the earth against the dark forces—until those dark forces begin to pick them off, one by one.
Stay tuned for more details of this epic story—while you wait, you can pick up the graphic novel of The Magic Order which was written by Millar and illustrated by Marvel’s Olivier Coipel, based on designs created by Netflix. The series’ first issue was the highest-selling new comic launch in almost two decades!
