Following the exciting announcement that their new album, Dear God, is due for release on June 26, The Pretty Reckless has revealed the official music video for its lead single, “When I Wake Up.” And if you loved watching vocalist Taylor Momsen portray Jenny Humphrey in Gossip Girl, you’ll adore these new visuals.

In fact, Momsen orchestrated an entire Gossip Girl reunion for fans of the iconic teen drama. The video features actress Jessica Szohr, who portrayed Vanessa Abrams, and actor Connor Paolo, who played Eric van der Woodsen. And the cameos don’t stop there—Momsen also recruited Foo Fighters musicians Pat Smear and Ilan Rubin to join the hedonistic party.
Momsen says, “l wanted the video to reflect where the song came from—a time in my life when I was out of control, not caring whether I lived or died. We shot it raw, with no grade, no filter. Reality doesn’t come color-corrected, and I didn’t want to change what we captured. The imperfection is the grade. This is where life can take you when you play too close to the edge, chasing substances, sex, and dopamine highs to escape depression. It led me down a rabbit hole of self-destruction that leaves you emptier than where you began…with all that being said…enjoy.“
