Following her viral American Idol audition as well as the releases of 2025’s “move with me” and “Goals,” Sophie Powers is back with a supercharged electronic banger, “XO.” Collaborating with producer, guitarist, and songwriter RJ Pasin, Powers effortlessly intertwines her airy vocals with electro-metal sonics, creating something truly unique and exciting. Plus, it’s a soundtrack for the baddies out there.
Powers says, “‘XO’ is pure femme fatale energy—like kissing destruction on the mouth.”
She adds, “Working with RJ Pasin unlocked this wild sonic tension I’ve been chasing for a while. It’s the sound of me stepping into womanhood, claiming my power, and still recklessly chasing chaos like it’s love.”
Finally, she notes, “As Hannah Montana said, sometimes you really do get the best of both worlds—and this song is proof. My voice wraps around RJ’s guitar in a way that feels both raw and hypnotic, but it’s that mysterious, unhinged energy that gives ‘XO’ its heartbeat.”
