Simple Plan are Being Honored for their Charity Work Through The Simple Plan Foundation

One of the first things that spring to mind when you think of Simple Plan—aside from the sweet sounds of pop punk—is their amazing sense of community. The Simple Plan Foundation has been making the world a better place and helping young people in need since 2005, and as of last year has donated close two million dollars to various charitable organizations. Now the band are being honored for their philanthropy.

Simple Plan’s members will be presented with the Meritorious Service Cross by David Johnston, Governor General of Canada tomorrow, June 23rd, during a ceremony at Ottowa’s Rideau Hall. We here at idobi can’t think of anyone more deserving of this award than Simple Plan, and we only hope this inspires more people to follow in their footsteps and give back to the community.
