Pierce The Veil has returned to the When We Were Young Fest stage for the third year in a row. And truthfully, we will never ever get sick of them up there! Last year, frontman Vic Fuentes lent his vocals to a stage collaboration with Yellowcard before giving a guitar away on stage to a fan during his band’s set.
This year, the San Diego-based group performed their beloved third album, Collide With The Sky, in full. Their set included fan favorites such as “Hold On Till May” and their Kellin Quinn collaboration, “King For A Day,” recreating the magic of the collab on stage for the first time since the debut WWWY Fest in 2022. The group also welcomed Jason Aalon Butler of FEVER 333 to join them for “Tangled In The Great Escape,” a track he originally appeared on for the album. However, the star of their set was when the group performed some album deep cuts live for the first time. The group’s performances of “I’m Low On Gas And You Need A Jacket” and “Props & Mayhem,” which both made their live debuts today, sent a palpable energy through the crowd.
