Ozzy Talks About Altering 'Gets Me Through' Video In Wake Of Tragedy

Ozzy Osbourne’s clip for “Gets Me Through” hit video outlets on Wednesday (October 3). Osbourne told LAUNCH the clip for the first single off his forthcoming album Down To Earth was altered after the events of September 11.

“Before this dreadful thing happened I’d made a video for my first video off the album, ‘Gets Me Through,’ and it had fire in it and it had some blood and things in it,” he said. “And MTV so rightly sent it back, and said, ‘We can’t allow this because of what’s just gone down with the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. We can’t play it. We feel it’d remind so many people of what…. Because lot of people lost a lot of loved ones in those terrible things, you know?'”

Down To Earth is set to be released October 16. Osbourne is set to embark on the Merry Mayhem tour starting October 31 in Tucson, Arizona with Rob Zombie.
