Ozzy Osbourne has long been a favorite of hard rock and heavy metal fans, but now the TV show The Osbournes is giving heavy music’s first family a chance to show their lives to non-metal fans. The reality-based show focusing on family life is making Osbourne even more famous.
Osbourne admitted that he is surprised by the show’s success. “I know all about the music scene, but this television thing has gotten me totally baffled. I don’t know how it works.”
He added, “I was walking down the street last Saturday and people that normally wouldn’t stop me are freaking out with this. I had just come off tour in Canada, so I was kind of blind to the response. I got back on Friday and suddenly people are stopping me on the street and screaming at me. In fact an ambulance goes past me and the guy goes, ‘Hey Ozzy, Hello, yeah’-on the intercom there. ‘Good show, man you gotta keep it up…’- I’m kind of flipping out, you know?”
The Osbournes airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on MTV.
