The First Family Of Metal, the Osbournes have been rife with health concerns as of late. Now eldest daughter, Aimee Osbourne is the latest member of the Osbourne clan to become afflicted with a health ailment.
Reportedly, Aimee was scheduled to appear in a West End production of The Vagina Monologues, however, she pulled out Saturday due to “unavoidable personal reasons.”
According to a statement by mother Sharon Osbourne, Aimee found a “lump on her breast which she’s had removed.” She also mentioned that the operation went “very well on the whole,” however there were a few “minor complications” and Aimee will have to continue with treatment for a while longer. Sharon finally added that her daughter is expected to make a “complete recovery.”
Aimee is the only member of the Osbourne family to not appear in the hit reality series, The Osbournes. Word has it that she is planning on embarking on a music career on her own, and she doesn’t want to be accused of “exploiting her parent’s fame.”
Again, it’s been a tough few years for the family. First, there was Ozzy’s wife Sharon’s battle with colon cancer back in 2002. Next was Ozzy’s much publicized injury sustained following a bike accident in December 2003. And of course, there were Jack and Kelly ‘s bouts with substance abuse.
