*NSYNC’s Lance Bass will play Santa Claus when he accompanies a radio listener to shop for presents for patients at Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, in Jackson.
A radio station in the area is holding a contest encouraging listeners to raise the money for the children. The winner will be announced on Friday, December 20, then join Bass on the shopping spree at a local Toys-R-Us on Saturday, December 21. The toys will be delivered by the pop singer and the winner that afternoon.
Bass himself is a Mississippi native, born in Laurel and raised in the town of Clinton.
