Every week, we track the latest new releases so that you don’t have to—from artists who are just starting to make their mark in the business to scene staples with so much more to deliver.

This week, we heard singles from an assortment of acts including The Linda Lindas and Scowl, seven new tracks from As It Is, and watched a fresh music video from Hands Like Houses with Normandie. Check it all out below.

Can’t Swim — “Worst Ain’t Over Yet” featuring Nathan Hardy (Microwave)

For fans of Kevin Maida’s (Knuckle Puck) sick guitar riffs.

Can’t Swim dropped their latest single, “Worst Ain’t Over Yet” with a feature from Microwave’s Nathan Hardy. Frontman Christopher LoPorto says the single had been written for over a year, but he kept going back and changing small things about it here and there until they recorded it with Jon Markson

“I sent it over to Nate from Microwave to get his 2 cents on the song and we both came up with the idea to have him do some singing on the post-chorus and bridge,” LoPorto shares. “Once he laid those vocals down we all sat around the studio listening to it and felt it was finally done.”

Can’t Swim head out on tour with Real Friends beginning October 21, dates and tickets can be found here

Scowl — “Special”

For fans of those who know exactly what they want out of life.

Scowl released “Special” in celebration of their signing to Dead Oceans. In the accompanying music video that exudes ‘90s alt vibes, singer Kate Moss draws the short straw and runs for her life as the band provides a fitting rock backtrack. “‘Special’ is a kamikaze,” Moss says. “The lyrics are about threatening the audience by asking ‘What do you really want?’ in clear desperation to answer my own question ‘What do I really want?’ But the answer is simple, I want to feel alive.”

The Linda Lindas — “Nothing Would Change”

For fans of the opening track of ‘Legally Blonde’ (“Perfect Day” by Hoku) and other 2000s movie soundtracks.

The Linda Lindas shared their latest single “Nothing Would Change.” The song’s music video features footage from the four-piece’s performances while on the Saviors Tour supporting Green Day. The track is featured on their latest LP No Obligation, which drops today and is available to stream and order via Epitaph Records

As It Is — “Babylon Ben”

As It Is shared “Babylon Ben” along with six other new songs from the okay. album era ahead of their upcoming album A Decade Uneventful: B-Sides & Rarities (2012 – 2022.) “fun fact,” the band says on X, “babylon is one of the many made up terms ROAM and us used on the glamour kills tour to describe when someone on tour is experiencing the tour depression. ‘oh he’s in babylon.’” The full LP drops November 20 and is available to pre-save via Slam Dunk Records

Hands Like Houses & Normandie — “Hurts Like Hell”

For fans of poisonous flowers and toxic blooms too pretty to ignore.

Hands Like Houses and Normandie teamed up for “Hurts Like Hell.” Hands Like Houses says the track represents a “beautifully primal” relationship with someone/something that you know won’t end well. “It’s hurting you in so many ways but there’s a lustful feeling that pulls you back in. It’s something so hard to get away from because when you’re wrapped up in it, you feel like you’ll never have it again and the consequence of that is what you deserve.” The song is the second release of their upcoming EP Meso(sphere) Volume lll.

Memphis May Fire — “Hell Is Empty”

For fans of dramatic demon fight sequences in animes like Castlevania and Blue Exorcist.

Memphis May Fire shared a blistering new track with “Hell Is Empty.” Vocalist Matty Mullins says the track reflects on the gray areas society has recently found itself in regarding good and evil and the feelings of uncertainty that have come with it. “This song is a wake-up call,” he shares. “A raw and unapologetic look at the consequences of our actions and the world we’ve created.” The group just started a run supporting Asking Alexandria. NOAHFINNCE — “Headcase”

For fans of BRAT from Charlie XCX, but make it emo.

Following the release of his music video for “PET WITH THE TISM,” NOAHFINNCE (Noah Adams) dropped a new single with “Headcase.” When posting about the track on Instagram, NOAH said that he hoped fans would enjoy it as he had been “feeling too overwhelmed to promote it.” The track will be featured on the deluxe edition of Growing Up On The Internet, out November 1 via Hopeless Records. StrateJacket — “Dreamcatcher”

For fans of house shows that have just the right amount of energy to bop, but don’t get too crazy.

Alongside the release of their debut LP Bad Start, StrateJacket shared the “Dreamcatcher” music video. When speaking about the sonic theme of the track, vocalist and guitarist Jackson Roemers said he wanted to produce something unique from the rest of the album. “There’s more of a groove in this song and it doesn’t come off as angry as some of our other ones tend to.” The band is opening for 10 Years in several upcoming shows, see where they’re headed and grab your tickets here

JORDY — “BREAKUP SEX”

For fans of the messy couples in reality television who won’t leave each other no matter how much you want them to.

Following the release of SEX WITH MYSELF, JORDY dropped a hot new single, “BREAKUP SEX.” Inspired by a tumultuous relationship, he pairs hard-hitting lyricism with poppy synth beats. “All of our fights always ended in the same way,” JORDY says. “Which kept us together because we kept coming back for more. It felt like this cycle that I needed to put an end to. It’s important to remember that sometimes, the physical connection isn’t what makes a relationship healthy, but keeps it addicting.” He embarks on his North American headline tour later this month. A full list of dates and cities can be found here

Dead Eyes — “Better Off”

For fans of Monuments‘ sudden switch-ups from growl-heavy verses to soaring choruses.

Dead Eyes released a powerful single about inner strength with “Better Off.” The band says the song is about how we must persevere when things look bleak. “You can’t stop life from happening to you, but you can control how you respond to it. Taking on life’s challenges and rolling with the punches, and knowing that at the end of the day, it’s up to you to make the best of it.” The track is available to stream via InVogue Records here.
