After headlining two momentous performances at When We Were Young Fest in Las Vegas last month and announcing their 10-show North American stadium tour, My Chemical Romance has officially sold out the 2025 run. They’ve also added a second Los Angeles, CA, date, which you can still buy tickets for. The Long Live The Black Parade tour aims to celebrate nearly 20 years of their mainstream breakout album, The Black Parade.
As the band announced the tour last week, on Tuesday, November 12, they shared a lengthy message on their social media platforms. They write, “It has been seventeen years since The Black Parade was sent to the MOAT. In that time, a great Dictator has risen to power, bringing about “THE CONCRETE AGE”; a glorious time of stability and abundance in the history of DRAAG.”
The post continues, “His Grand Immortal Dictator wishes to celebrate our rich and storied culture, fine foods, and musical entertainments by welcoming you to these great demonstrations of power and resolve. And lending voice and song for the first time in six thousand two hundred and forty six days, their work privilege ceremoniously reinstated, will be His Grand Immortal Dictator’s National Band… The Black Parade. Long Live Draag”
The Live Nation-produced tour will launch next summer, with the now 11 dates spread from July through September, with a rotating lineup of support. Amongst the opening support acts, My Chemical Romance will be joined by Violent Femmes, 100 Gecs, Wallows, The Mars Volta, Death Cab For Cutie, Alice Cooper, The Pixies, DEVO, IDLES, and Evanescence.
