An unidentified man was caught camping out in the carport of Britney Spears’ Hollywood Hills home, Los Angeles police say. The man, who has previously shown up uninvited at chez Spears, had allegedly set up house in the popster’s garage when Spears’ private security detail spotted him and called police at about 11 a.m. Tuesday.
The security team detained the man until police arrived to take him away. However, the guards declined to press charges.
A police spokesman says the man has been caught trespassing at the Spears abode at least once before and will be evaluated at a local hospital. The man’s identity has not been released because he was not charged with a crime.
A Spears publicist did not immediately comment on the case. The 20-year-old Pepsi-pushing pop diva was not home at the time; she was in New York to collect the “Fun Fearless Female Award” from Cosmopolitan.
Ms. Fun and Fearless can currently be seen vamping it in a series of retro Pepsi commercials. She’s also got a new single, “I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman,” and a new movie, Crossroads. The feature film, her big-screen acting debut, opens February 15.
