It’s been a year since Madonna’s charity, Raising Malawi, opened the Mercy James Paediatric Surgery and Intensive Care Centre and that’s cause for celebration.
Currently the pop culture icon is in Malawi celebrating the anniversary and all the success the hospital has seen so far. With over 1,600 paediatric surgeries completed and thousands of patients served the Mercy James Centre has truly made life better for vulnerable Malawian children.
Along with the hospital Raising Malawi has helped bring new schools into the area. Thanks to access to health care and education the world is opening up for the people of Malawi. You can make a contribution to the organization and their mission here.
