The opening date of young rapper Lil’ Bow Wow’s first nationwide tour has been postponed after days of violence in Cincinnati.
The tour was scheduled to open on Friday but was postponed until May 15 because of rioting and a curfew after the shooting of an unarmed black man by a white police officer.
The fatal shooting over the weekend of Timothy Thomas, 19, sparked days of unrest, a federal investigation, and calls for accountability.
Lil’ Bow Wow, a 14-year-old whose real name is Shad Moss, went double platinum with his debut album, “Beware of Dog.” His single “Bow Wow (That’s My Name)” is No. 2 on Billboard’s Hot Rap Singles chart.
