After announcing that they’d perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last week, Knocked Loose officially made their late-night television debut. With help from Poppy, the metal heavyweights performed “Suffocate” to a massive crowd. We love to see a mosh pit on mainstream TV!
The Grammy nominees offered a fiery performance that many members of the metal community admired.
Knotfest‘s Tori Kravitz shared on her Instagram, “What I love most about this is that hopefully some young people see this and something clicks. Maybe they feel heard / understood for the first time. Or, they finally find music that feels right and it lights a fire in them. And this is their gateway to fall in love with heavy music. That’s my hope.”
The Home Team shared, “I’m literally in tears. It’s so fucking cool seeing heavy music from our scene being as big as it is and getting this insane recognition. Our scene is alive and well, baby.”
Additionally, Stray From The Path‘s Craig Reynolds posted, “I got goosebumps bro wtf.”
Check out the thrilling Knocked Loose performance below.
Per Setlist.fm, audience members got to see the band play five songs for the crowd:
- Suffocate (with Poppy)
- Don’t Reach for Me
- Moss Covers All
- Take Me Home
- Sit & Mourn
