KING MALA kicks off 2025 with a vengeance, unveiling her darkly ominous new single, “GØD,” her first release since September. Injected with her signature sultry edge and defiant charisma, the “she calls me daddy” artist tangles herself in a web of introspection and existentialism musings. The track is a haunting cocktail of hypnotic beats, brooding melodies, and her smoky, commanding vocals that shift effortlessly between vulnerability and power.
“This is a song about desire and its consequences from the perspective of the condescending deity you beg in your darkest hours,” KING MALA shares in a press release. “This is a song about power and God and what you are willing to do to transcend into deification.”

In preparation for the release, the Los Angeles resident shares in a statement on Instagram while unable to access her home due to the ongoing wildfires, “it feels so silly to be putting out a song right now, but i guess it really is a testament to the fact that you can make all the plans you want and the divine beast of the universe will move in whichever direction it pleases anyway… that being said this song is so so so unbelievably special to me and im so happy it will be yours tonight. it is the first song in an incredibly vast project we have made for you and i hope it brings you a bit of joy in these insane times. i’m with you and i love you…”
